Partick Thistle 5-1 Greenock Morton: Jags a point clear at top after rout
- Published
Partick Thistle moved a point clear at the top of the Scottish Championship after roaring back to hammer Greenock Morton at Firhill.
The Jags fell behind to Robbie Muirhead's free-kick, but the response was devastating.
Brian Graham's header and a close-range Kevin Holt finish had Thistle ahead at the break, then Aaron Muirhead drove in a third.
Scott Tiffoney and Anton Dowds netted in the closing stages.
Ian McCall's men, who topped the table on goal difference at the start of the day, are now a point above Queen's Park, who replace Ayr United in second.
Morton's third straight league defeat leaves them eighth, three points off the bottom.
