York City substitute Manny Duku cancelled out Tom O Connor's stunning strike to earn the hosts a draw, which sees Wrexham drop a place to second in the National League title race.

Former Republic of Ireland Under-21s midfielder O'Connor thought he had won it for the Dragons with a spectacular overhead kick in the 88th minute.

Dutchman Duku came off the bench and struck within a minute to level.

York's draw ended a three-match losing run, but they dropped a spot to 18th.

Notts County went top as they won 4-1 at Scunthorpe United.

Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson:

"I feel we've got in enough situations today to have shown more of a clinical edge, which we normally do.

"We just didn't threaten the goal enough. We got some great positions and not made the 'keeper work enough in the game.

"We were resolute, we were strong, some of the approach play was decent, but we've had chances - not loads - but we've had enough chances to have gone ahead earlier in the game."
