By the time of Aaron Muirhead's fourth goal, Inverness looked a tired side

Partick Thistle maintained their Scottish Championship promotion push as they chalked up a rout of injury-hit Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

First-half goals from Brian Graham - a tap-in from a few inches - and a clever finish from Kyle Turner had them well on their way to all three points.

Their third came from Cole McKinnon, by which time Inverness looked weary, and Aaron Muirhead added a fourth.

Aaron Doran scored a consolation but Danny Mullen made it 5-1.

Billy Dodds' miserable night went from bad to worse when defender Wallace Duffy received a straight red card for denying a clear goalscoring opportunity.

It means it's eight league games without a win for Inverness, but it was a big win for Thistle in a tight league where goal difference could be a massive factor.

Partick Thistle assistant manager Alan Archibald: "Ian McCall is away home to his sick bed with a virus but he is delighted with the performance.

"I feel sorry for Inverness with their injuries because we suffered with that too. But now we have players back we are flying "

Inverness CT manager Billy Dodds: "The injury situation is ridiculous, just a joke. It's the worst I have know in 37 years in the game."
