Greenock Morton 1-2 Arbroath: Comeback consigns host to fourth straight defeat
- Published
Arbroath move to within a point of third-bottom Cove Rangers in the Scottish Championship after coming from behind to beat Greenock Morton.
George Oakley, the new striker signing from Inverness Caledonian Thistle, headed the hosts ahead only four minutes into his debut.
But defender Colin Hamilton fired the equaliser just after the half-hour.
And midfielder Michael McKenna's long range drive into the top corner on the break secured the points.
Dick Campbell's side stay four points clear of Hamilton Academical, who beat Partick Thistle, at the bottom after going five games unbeaten away from home.
Morton remain in sixth, but it is a fourth consecutive defeat and seven games without a win for Dougie Imrie's side.
