Raith Rovers 6-1 Cove Rangers: Vaughan double helps Raith thrash Cove
- Published
Lewis Vaughan scored twice as Raith Rovers thrashed relegation-threatened Cove Rangers 6-1 in the Scottish Championship.
Goals from Esmael Goncalves and Vaughan gave the hosts a 2-0 lead at Stark's Park, before Ryan Nolan's header and a spectacular Dylan Easton volley put the result beyond any doubt.
Jackson Longridge pulled one back for Cove, but a Vaughan penalty and a Scott McGill strike wrapped up a first win in four league games for Ian Murray's side.
Rovers are sixth, seven points off the play-offs, while Cove sit eighth, just one point above Arbroath in the relegation play-off spot.
