Dale Hilson's goal was enough to earn his side their fifth win of the campaign

Relegation-threatened Arbroath stunned Scottish Championship leaders Queen's Park to claim a rare victory and bolster their survival hopes.

Dale Hilson squeezed home 14 minutes from time to earn only the fifth win of the Gayfield side's league campaign.

The result means Arbroath leapfrog Cove Rangers with a game still in hand.

Owen Coyle's Queen's Park stay top, but Dundee now have played a game fewer while sitting four points adrift.

The defeat brought a five-game unbeaten run to an end for the Glasgow side and delivered Arbroath's first win in six games.
