  2. 'We say proud a lot, but I am tonight' - Doddspublished at 21:56 Greenwich Mean Time 24 March 2023

FT: Inverness CT 1-0 Partick Thistle

Inverness manager Billy Dodds tells BBC Scotland: "We knew we had to win tonight or the playoff dreams were probably over.

"We say the word proud a lot in the dressing rooms but I am tonight as we had to win it the hard way.

"We started well, then they took control as we just started launching it straight away, I'd have liked us to pass it a bit more.

    "We had to hang on.

"I dont have to [see the red card challenge again], it’s cynical, it’s a trip.

"I want to move on from it as we’ve had a lot of hard luck, and I know everyone had but we probably have more than most, and I'd rather move on as if I say something I'll get into trouble.

    "We’ll be appealing it."

FT: Inverness CT 1-0 Partick Thistle

Inverness goalie, and player of the match, Mark Ridgers tells BBC Scotland that his save to deny Brian Graham in the first half was his most important of the night.

He said: "That's the most important one. You know, that's why you don’t cut your fingernails [as a goalkeeper].

"For me, it’s as good as a goal really.

"It's all about building on this result and going for the playoffs.

"We have a little opportunity still and we still believe."

  8. FULL-TIME Inverness CT 1-0 Partick Thistlepublished at 21:38 Greenwich Mean Time 24 March 2023

A terrific win for Billy Dodds' side as they win for only the second time in nine league games.

Brian Graham had an effort thwarted by a superb Mark Ridgers save in a fairly uneventful first half.

Nathan Shaw got on the end of a terrific Jay Henderson cross to score the goal's only game before Inverness' captain Sean Welsh saw red with 50 minutes gone.

The away side attacked in waves and had a multitude of half-chances and scrambles in the box but failed to make their advantage count as they were continuously halted by some excellent Inverness defending and goalkeeping from Ridgers.

Inverness fans will be hoping he's not jinxed it with only a few minutes to go...

Overall it's been a really assured performance by him. He's made crucial saves at crucial times for his team.

    Four minutes added time.

Inverness had just broke on the counter but failed to seal all three points as they squandered their chance...probably due to some tired legs at this stage.

    Inverness CT 1-0 Partick Thistle

Partick Thistle have had any number of chances in the last 10 minutes or so.

They're heading towards their first defeat under the stewardship of Kris Doolan unless they can find at least one goal in the closing minutes.

Maybe they could do with a prime Doolan up top right now...

The drama isn't stopping and Partick Thistle still can't get it over the line.

A downward header bounces up off of Ridgers before Tiffoney sticks a leg in and a pile-up almost ensues before the whistle goes to award Inverness a free-kick.

Partick seem to have the ball in the Inverness box for an eternity.

It gets stuck in amongst all of the legs and under the studs before they eventually win themselves a corner.
