Grimsby Town 1-0 Barrow

Barrow saw their League Two play-off hopes all-but ended as Grimsby struck late to claim a 1-0 victory at Blundell Park.

Danilo Orsi came off the Grimsby bench to score a 77th-minute winner that leaves Barrow seven points off the top seven with only three matches remaining.

Grimsby had the first chance when Otis Khan waltzed past his marker and forced Barrow goalkeeper Paul Farman into a low save after seven minutes before Jake Young fired over on the stretch moments later at the other end.

Kieran Green sent a wayward effort over from 25 yards as genuine chances proved to be at a premium in the first period - although home goalkeeper Max Crocombe was called upon to deny Barrow forward Young shortly before the interval.

Upon the restart, Barrow went close to finding an opener twice in quick succession when Tyrell Warren headed against the crossbar from a set-piece and Niall Canavan forced Crocombe into a brilliant save.

Barrow midfielder Josh Kay was thwarted by an offside flag as the clocked ticked by before Orsi curled home Grimsby's winner.
