Greg Cunningham: Preston North End defender to remain with club for rest of season
- Published
Preston North End defender Greg Cunningham will remain at the club until the end of the season after they triggered an extension to his contract.
The 32-year-old signed a new deal in June, which kept him with the Championship side until December.
Cunningham will now extend his stay at Deepdale after triggering fitness and availability clauses, the club said.
"It's nice for me to know now I've got that security of being here for the rest of the season," he said.
"It's just good to have already hit that first goal and now it's about trying to rack up as many games as I can, do as well as I can for the club, and help the team wherever I can."
