Chesterfield dominated promotion rivals Barnet with a convincing 4-2 win at SMH Group Stadium.

Only two points separated the teams before kick-off, who still sit first and second in the National League, but the victory moved the hosts five clear with a game in hand.

Dean Brennan's Bees finished the first half unscathed but Armando Dobra's 49th-minute opener dealt a major blow as Chesterfield hunted for more.

Former Wigan and Sunderland striker Will Grigg added a second on the hour as the Londoners struggled to deal with their opponents' quality.

Michael Jacobs grabbed a third and Joe Quigley got the fourth with four minutes to go before Nicke Kabamba and Gary Hooper's goals in stoppage time were nothing more than a consolation.
