Swansea City: 'More answers' over manager's job next week as Chris Davies pursuit continues

Alan Sheehan expects Swansea City to provide "more answers" over their vacant manager's job next week as their pursuit of Chris Davies continues.
Davies, Tottenham's senior assistant coach, has been Swansea's preferred choice to replace Michael Duff since he left the club on 4 December.
However, Spurs are yet to grant Swansea permission to speak to the 38-year-old.
"The board have been excellent to me - they keep me in the loop," caretaker boss Sheehan said.
"I understand there's a process to go through and it's a big decision."
Sheehan will take charge of Swansea for a third time when they host Middlesbrough in the Championship on Saturday.
The Swans hope to have a permanent boss in place for their final pre-Christmas fixture, against Preston on Friday, 22 December.
"Right now it's about focusing on this game [against Middlesbrough], then we'll have a couple of days and then we'll have more answers for you," Sheehan said.
Swansea have considered a number of potential replacements for Duff, including Notts County boss Luke Williams, Elfsborg's Jimmy Thelin and Kjetil Knutsen, of FC Bodo/Glimt.
Sheehan, who joined the club last summer following the departure of Russell Martin and his staff for Southampton, is tipped to remain as part of a new-look management team.
When asked whether he would like the top job, the 37-year-old said: "I think the most important thing, and obviously being involved in the process, is that first of all, whoever gets this job is going to manage an incredible club.
"Whether I am the manager or the assistant, I have still got the same job to do, which is to try to make this club successful. So that's the way it is for me."
Davies had been close to taking over at Swansea before Duff was appointed head coach in June.
He joined Spurs in the summer as Ange Postecoglou's number two, having spent much of his career working alongside Brendan Rodgers.
The former Wales Under-19 international, who has built a reputation as a fine coach, will be with Spurs for their Premier League game at Nottingham Forest on Friday night.
Swansea, meanwhile, go in search of only a third home league win of the season when they meet Middlesbrough.
They triumphed at 10-man Rotherham United in Sheehan's first game at the helm last weekend before scrapping their way to an uninspiring draw at Stoke City in midweek.
