Joe Edwards has not tasted victory in six games since winning his first with Millwall

Millwall manager Joe Edwards says he has had a "mixed experience" so far following one win in seven games since taking over at the New Den.

The Lions were pegged back by an injury-time penalty for Huddersfield Town in a 1-1 draw on Saturday.

It leaves Millwall without a win since Edwards' first game in charge.

"Every day that I'm in the training ground working with them, I'm really enjoying it - they are a good bunch of lads," Edwards told BBC Radio London.

"When we have to come in and look at mistakes and poor performances, they are very open to it and very honest and open to the feedback. There is no sulking or finger pointing.

"They are straight back out on the pitch working hard to go again and there is a good spirit and a good intensity so in terms of being in charge of this group, I'm really enjoying the day to day. It's been a really mixed experience."

Millwall have lost four and drawn two of their last six games under Edwards following the resounding 4-0 win at Sheffield Wednesday on 11 November.

The Lions are now two points and two places above the Championship relegation zone and face a trip to Stoke City, the team one place and a point above them, on Saturday.

"I don't like not winning football matches," Edwards added. "The run of form that we are in, and some of the games and performances, are our challenge to turn around together.

"When you're in a run (like this), you feel that all these little things go against you and you need them to stop, but there is a point where you make your own luck."
