Ali McCann: Preston midfielder signs new deal until 2027

Preston have extended the contract of midfielder Ali McCann until 2027.

The Northern Ireland international has played in every game for which he has been available this season.

McCann had a season to run on the deal he signed when joining the club in 2021 but Preston have moved to tie down one of their more consistent performers.

"Ali fully deserves the extension to his contract because he's been excellent since I've been here, on and off the pitch," manager Ryan Lowe said.

McCann has played 84 games for Preston since joining them from St Johnstone in the summer of 2021.

"I'm absolutely buzzing just to get it all sorted. To be fair, it was quite easy from start to finish, just getting it all done," he said.

"I'm really happy here and just looking forward to the next couple of years. I've said loads of times before that it's the perfect club for me to come down to."
