Partick Thistle fought back to secure a draw with Morton and consolidate third place in the Scottish Championship.

Jack McMillan's own goal after Robbie Crawford had headed a Robbie Muirhead corner towards goal gave Morton the lead on 31 minutes.

Substitute Ricco Diack slotted Thistle level with a quarter of an hour to go.

And Tomi Adeloye almost won it for the visitors when his shot came back off the post and team-mate Ben Stanway also threatened.

Thistle are eight points off Raith Rovers and nine clear of Airdrieonians. Morton are fifth, a point below Airdrie.

Morton manager Dougie Imrie: "Certainly not what we wanted. We deserved all three points. We were well in front. When you don't kill teams off, it can always come back to bite you. When we've got our full quota of players, we'll be a match for anyone. It's good to see Robbie Crawford back on the scoresheet."

Partick Thistle manager Kris Doolan: "It's a good point, especially when you fall behind. We wanted to win but all in all a good point. All the boys that came on off the bench offered something. I'm really pleased for Ricco. Tactically he's starting to really develop into a really good footballer."
