Ryan Sandford: Crawley Town sign former Millwall goalkeeper on short-term deal

Ryan Sandford, who left Millwall last summer, is yet to make an appearance in the English Football League

Crawley Town have signed former Millwall goalkeeper Ryan Sandford on a deal until the end of the season.

The 24-year-old came through the academy at The Den but did not play a first-team game for the Lions.

He had loan spells with Welling, Dover, Dorking, Maidstone, and Weymouth before short stays at AFC Wimbledon and Dartford on leaving Millwall last year.

"Five different goalkeeping coaches all gave him glowing references," said Crawley goalkeeping coach Steve Hale.

Sandford becomes Crawley's first signing of the January transfer window.
