Newtown will challenge for a top-three spot in the Cymru Premier Championship Conference under Scott Ruscoe
Cymru Premier side Newtown have named former player Scott Ruscoe as manager.
The Robins are fifth in the Cymru Premier having secured a place in the Championship Conference with 10 wins from 22 games this season.
The 46-year-old won the Cymru Premier title nine times as a player with The New Saints, and two more times as manager of the Oswestry side.
Ruscoe - who played for Newtown in the late 1990s - replaces Chris Hughes who left the club on 10 January.
Hughes had spent more than a decade in charge at Newtown.
Ruscoe becomes just the seventh permanent manager of the Newtown since the formation of the Cymru Leagues back in 1992.
