Gillingham are investigating a video appearing to show Remeao Hutton talking about "bringing racism" to the club.

The clip also shows the defender speaking about topics including homosexuality and sleeping with people outside of relationships.

Hutton joined the Gills from Swindon Town on 17 January and made his debut in a 1-1 draw with Forest Green Rovers.

"We are aware of this private video and are talking to the player directly," Gillingham said.

The video shows full-back Hutton discussing "what he will bring" to the club, including "some gay business" without going into further detail.

"What am I going to bring to the group? I am going to bring some gay business, some gay ting I can't lie," the 25-year-old said.

"I am going to bring some racism. Obviously I will win everyone over eventually, not like at first, but it's one of those ones innit."

He added they can "call him anything" and references offensive chanting.
