Guernsey FC's women are out of the Combined Counties League Cup after losing 1-0 to Crawley in Lancing.

Beth Humphrey's goal after 31 minutes ended up being the difference between the sides as she tapped in Harriet Martin's cross.

Crawley had the better of the chances as the game wore on but Guernsey did well to stay in it.

It is a second cup defeat this season for the newly-formed Green Lionesses, who only started playing this season.

They were knocked out of the Isthmian League Cup by Bognor Regis Town in November having beaten Corinthian Casuals 6-1 in their first-ever match.

They hope to one day establish themselves in the English league system in the same way Guernsey FC's men's side have done since they formed in 2011.
