Preston North End have been charged with two counts of misconduct in relation to crowd control by the Football Association.

It is alleged the club failed to ensure their fans conduct themselves in an orderly fashion in a league game at Huddersfield on 12 December and an FA Cup tie at Chelsea on 6 January.

North End have until Wednesday, 21 February to respond to the charges.

Ryan Lowe's side are ninth in the Championship after 32 matches.
