Leeds United confirmed one of their fans needed medical assistance after appearing to fall from the upper deck of a stand in an FA Cup tie at Chelsea.

The incident happened in the first half of Wednesday's game at Stamford Bridge, shortly after Leeds took a 1-0 lead.

Leeds said the matter is "being investigated" and the fan is in "the hands of the emergency services".

After the game, United manager Daniel Farke offered his "best wishes" to the supporter, BBC Radio Leeds reported.

The Championship promotion hopefuls, who were backed by 5,400 fans, went on to lose 3-2 after Conor Gallagher's 90th-minute winner.
