Preston North End have signed Brentford teenager Jayden Meghoma on loan until the end of the season.

Meghoma, 18, has played four times for the Bees this season, including one substitute appearance in the Premier League.

The left-back only moved to Brentford last summer in a £5 million switch from Southampton.

"Everything we've seen through scouting Jayden and heard about him from people in the game has been really positive," North End manager Paul Heckingbottom told his club's official website, external.

"I think he'll prove to be an important asset for us between now and the end of the season."

Hayden will be eligible for Preston's Championship game away to Luton Town on Saturday.
