Truro City sign Newport striker Jephcott on loan

Truro City have signed Newport County's former Plymouth Argyle forward Luke Jephcott on loan until the end of the season.
The 25-year-old former Wales under-21 player moved to the Exiles in January last year from Scottish side St Johnstone.
But he has found opportunities limited at Rodney Parade, making just two starts in League Two this season and has yet to score since moving to Wales.
Aberystwyth-born Jephcott grew up in Cornwall and played on loan at Truro City while a young player at Plymouth Argyle.
He scored 37 goals in more than 100 appearances for the Pilgrims including 18 in 26 games in the 2020-21 season as Argyle returned to League One.
He scored 12 goals the following season but fell out of favour and joined Swindon Town on a season-long loan in September 2022.
He then had a goalless half-season spell at St Johnstone before joining Newport on a free transfer.
"I know the club and quite a few of the lads here so I'm really excited and can't wait to get going," Jephcott told the club website, external.
"Last time I was here I did well and my career went on from there. Coming back, I will be looking to do similar and getting back out on the pitch, to show what I can do.
"I've come in to help the team push for promotion, play-offs and as many points as we can get between now and the end of the season.
"In the past, I've shown that when I am happy with my situation, I can provide and score goals. I want to express myself and enjoy football again, by giving everything, like the lads do already."
