Fixture scheduling around Truro loss 'baffling'

Stewart Yetton made over 300 appearances for Truro City as a player

Truro City assistant coach Stewart Yetton has said the schedule difference between the Tinners and most recent opponent Boreham Wood "baffles" him.
Yetton was speaking after Truro came up agonisingly short against Boreham Wood on Monday as Matt Rush struck in the third minute of additional time to inflict a 2–1 defeat.
It leaves the Cornish side still searching for their first point of the National League season after five straight losses.
Boreham Wood's previous match before hosting Truro was on Wednesday while John Askey's team played against Southend United on Saturday, 48 hours before making the trip to London on Monday.
"There's lots of positives to take in; we're fighting, we're in games," Yetton told BBC Radio Cornwall.
"They've had the luxury of no game, which baffles me. I think them and York were the only two teams without a game (at the weekend), which makes no sense why they're not playing each other.
"And then obviously we have to come in on a very hot day and play them 48 hours after our last game."
He added: "The fans were magnificent and I thought the players were as well. You don't always get what you want sometimes."
