Jeppe Okkels has left Preston North End after one season, joining Swedish club Djurgardens for an undisclosed fee.

The Denmark Under-21 international made 10 appearances for the Lilywhites last season, seven of them in the Championship, without scoring.

The highlight of his Deepdale stay was scoring two penalties in the dramatic 16-15 penalty shoot-out win over Premier League Fulham in the Carabao Cup.

He was loaned out to Aberdeen for the second half of the last season with an option to buy, but that was not exercised after he appeared 18 times for the Scottish Premiership side.
