Sheffield Wednesday have signed former Leeds United defender Liam Cooper on a deal until the end of the season.

The 34-year-old Scotland international was a free agent after leaving Bulgarian side CSKA Sofia in July.

Wednesday were placed into administration last month and are bottom of the Championship on minus four points.

He could make his debut for the Owls in Sunday's Steel City derby against Sheffield United.

Cooper joined Leeds from Chesterfield in 2014 and made 263 league appearances for the Whites across 10 years.
