Stockport County have re-signed defender Tyler Onyango from Everton and brought in Derby midfielder Ben Osborn, both on season-long loans.

Osborn, 31, played for Sheffield United in the Premier League before his switch to the Rams last season and he has played more than 350 games in his career.

Onyango, 22, spent the first half of last season on loan with the Hatters, making 10 appearances for the club.

His time at Edgeley Park was cut short after he sustained a hamstring injury during their 2-1 FA Cup win against Forest Green Rovers.

"Since the start of pre-season our desire to get him back with us has been no secret, but we were understanding of Everton's position and the necessity to keep him in with them," boss Dave Challinor said, external.

"Hopefully now he can pick up where he finished off with us the last time he was here - we're really looking forward to seeing him get started this time.

"His athleticism, pace, power and ability to play in numerous positions will be invaluable to us and, importantly, he already knows us and knows what we're about."
