Barco joins Strasbourg on loan

Brighton left-back Valentin Barco has joined Strasbourg on loan until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old joined Albion last January from Boca Juniors and made seven appearances for the club before being loaned to Sevilla in the summer.

However, after featuring just eight teams in the first half of the season he was recalled by the Seagulls.

Head coach Fabian Hurzeler said: "It is important for Valentin to play, and this gives him that chance to get games.

"He had a frustrating time with Sevilla, but this gives him a fresh start and a new opportunity. We wish him well for the second half of the season."
