Goalkeeper Aidan Stone has been 'brilliant' since coming into the Truro City side, according to assistant manager Stewart Yetton.
The 26-year-old moved to the Tinners in the summer after leaving Yeovil Town and has started the last three matches.
Stone, who has also had spells at Mansfield Town, Port Vale and Notts County, has taken over from long-serving first choice Dan Lavercombe over the past few weeks.
"Stoney's been brilliant for us," Yetton told BBC Radio Cornwall.
"He's had to come in and wait for his chance, Lavs has been first-class all last season, and to be honest Lavs has been good this season.
"I think he can probably look at himself and feel a little unfortunate to find himself out of the side, but we felt we needed to make some changes to try and find the right formula."
Stone made his debut in Truro's 3-0 win over Boston United - their first points since winning promotion last season - and kept his place for the draw with Aldershot Town and the loss at Carlisle United last Saturday.
"They work really well together, and with Phil (Osborn, goalkeeping coach) they've got a good camaraderie and they support each other," Yetton added.
"Stoney was the first man to support Lavs for all those games and since we've made that change, Lavs' attitude has been first class and you can see that in training every day.
"That's what you need. This season's going to be long, players are going to be in, players are going to be out, what's important is when they come out the side they support the ones that are going in and vice versa."
