Bim Pepple netted 11 goals on loan at National League Southend in the first half of the season

Chesterfield have signed Luton Town striker Bim Pepple on loan until the end of the season as well as former Ipswich defender Janoi Donacien on a short-term deal.

Donacien, 31, is a Saint Lucia international who has earned promotion with Accrington and Ipswich, making more than 100 appearances across six seasons for the Tractor Boys.

He has been training at Portman Road after the expiry of his contract last season and signs for the remainder of 2024-25.

Canadian-born Pepple, 22, had loan spells from Kenilworth Road with Grimsby, Bromley and Inverness before joining National League Southend in the summer, scoring 11 goals in 23 appearances.

Pepple told the club website:, external "I'm delighted to be here. I hit a good run of form at Southend and I'm just focused on bringing that to League Two.

"Every time I have spoken to the gaffer, it has been good and I'm excited to work with him."
