Shrewsbury Town have signed forward Ricardo Dinanga from Southern League club AFC Telford United for an undisclosed fee.

He is the second non-league striker brought in by boss Gareth Ainsworth this month following the arrival of Callum Stewart from Leamington and has agreed a two-and-a-half-year deal.

Born in the Republic of Ireland, Dinanga, who has scored 12 goals in 28 games this season, began his career with Cork City before joining Coventry City.

He was a regular member of the Sky Blues' under-23 team and was also an unused substitute on two occasions during the 2021-22 Championship season.

"I'm delighted. It's a privilege to be here and I can't wait to get going," Dinanga said.

"My favourite position is on the left but I can play left, right, down the middle - wherever the gaffer needs me to."
