Crawley Town manager Scott Lindsey has been given a one-match touchline ban for misconduct after his side's League Two defeat by Shrewsbury Town.

The Reds had Harry McKirdy sent off for a second yellow card in the 65th minute before Will Boyle headed in to secure a 1-0 victory for the Shrews at Croud Meadow on 18 October.

Lindsey, who admitted the misconduct charge, received the ban for an incident that happened after the final whistle around the changing rooms.

"An independent regulatory commisson has sanctioned Crawley Town FC's manager for misconduct following their EFL League Two match against Shrewsbury Town FC on Saturday, 18 October," an FA spokesperson said, external.

"It was alleged Scott Lindsey acted in an improper manner and/or used abusive and/or insulting words and/or behaviour towards a match official around the changing rooms after the full-time whistle.

"Scott Lindsey subsequently admitted the charge, and the regulatory commission imposed a one-match touchline ban and a £500 fine."

Crawley are next in action at Boreham Wood in the FA Cup first round on Saturday before hosting Fleetwood Town in the league on Saturday, 8 November.
