Accrington Stanley striker Josh Woods has signed a new two-and-a-half-year contract with the club.

The new deal will keep Woods at the Wham Stadium until the summer of 2027.

Woods, 25, has been at Accrington since joining from non-league Marine in 2021, playing 81 games and scoring seven goals - including five this season.

"I feel like I have got more to give," he told the club website, external.

"This year I feel I have played my best football. I have kicked on, but there is still a lot more for me to show."
