Tranmere Rovers have signed goalkeeper Reuben Egan on a one-year contract.

The 19-year-old joins Rovers on a free transfer after departing Irish club Athlone Town in January.

Egan said, external: "It’s amazing, I’m delighted to be here. Nigel Adkins has been brilliant with me. Hopefully I’ll build up my experience, get involved and get a good season under my belt.

He joins midfielder Saidou Khan, who completed a loan move earlier on Friday from fellow League Two side Swindon Two for the rest of the season

The 28-year-old made 33 appearances for Swindon last season but has yet to feature in any match this term.

Khan said, external: "It just feels like you’re in a family club at Tranmere, and that’s what it’s about.

"I want to be in an environment where I feel like I can develop as a player and as a person and I think it’s the right place to do that."
