Gibson departs as Nomads manager

Connah's Quay Nomads say they have "parted ways" with manager Neil Gibson just one game into the new Cymru Premier season.

In a brief statement, the club said: "We would like to thank Neil for his hard work and efforts since his appointment in August 2022 and wish him the best for the future.

"Further announcements will be made in the next 48 hours."

Gibson led Nomads to Welsh Cup success last season and oversaw their recent Europa Conference League campaign, which saw the Welsh team lose in the first qualifying round to Slovenian side NK Bravo.

They began the Cymru Premier season on Sunday with a 1-0 defeat at home to Haverfordwest County.
