Birmingham City have signed Sheffield United defender Jack Robinson on a two-year deal and Sunderland winger Patrick Roberts on a season-long loan.

Robinson started his career at Liverpool, where at the time of making his Premier League debut in 2010, he was the youngest player ever to feature for the club at the age of 16 years and 250 days.

The 32-year-old went on to make 11 appearances for the Reds, before permanent spells at Queens Park Rangers and Nottingham Forest preceded helping Sheffield United to win promotion to the top flight in 2023.

He played 34 of his career total of 54 Premier League games the following season.

Roberts, 28, moved to the Stadium of Light from Manchester City in January 2022 and helped guide the Black Cats from League One to the Premier League.

He made 147 appearances in all competitions, scoring nine goals and contributing 18 assists and came off the bench in the second half at Wembley in May as Sunderland came from behind to beat Sheffield United in the Championship play-off final.

Roberts came through the ranks at Fulham and went on to make 22 senior appearances for the Cottagers after making his debut in March 2014.

He moved to the Etihad Stadium the following summer and though he made only two senior appearances, Roberts enjoyed successful loan spells with Celtic, Girona, Norwich, Middlesbrough and Derby before moving to Sunderland.
