Boston United have signed full-back Marcel Lavinier on a permanent deal after a successful trial period with the club.

The 24-year-old former Yeovil Town, Forest Green and Swindon defender, who was on the books at Tottenham and Chelsea earlier in his career, has already featured for Boston in the FA Cup and National League Cup "on non-contract forms".

He has been brought in by the National League side after right-back Jordan Cropper was ruled out injured "for the foreseeable future".
