Full-back Ackerman joins Gwalia United

Daisy Ackerman joins Gwalia United after a season at Bristol Rovers

Gwalia United have signed former England youth international Daisy Ackerman.

The 22-year-old full-back came through the Arsenal academy and has played for Cheltenham Town, Oxford United, Bristol City and Bristol Rovers, and joins Gwalia ahead of the upcoming FA Women's National League Premier Division season.

"I'm incredibly excited to join Gwalia United," said Ackerman, who represented England three times across the Under-16s and U18s.

"It's clear that the club has high ambitions and a real sense of purpose about where it wants to go. I can't wait to get started and contribute to the journey."

Ackerman joins fellow Arsenal youth product Bethan McGowan, who signed for Gwalia earlier this week.
