Braintree sign midfielder Thorpe and defender Terry

Elliot Thorpe made three Championship appearances for Luton during their promotion-winning campaign to the Premier League in 2022-23

Braintree Town have signed midfielder Elliot Thorpe on a free transfer following his departure from National League rivals Solihull Moors at the end of last season.

The 24-year-old began his senior career in the Tottenham youth academy and has had spells at Luton, Burton Albion, Shrewsbury and Wealdstone.

The club have also re-signed defender Frankie Terry on loan from Colchester United until January.

The 21-year-old played 19 league games for the Iron during the 2024-25 season on another loan spell, scoring one goal.
