Carlisle United head coach Mark Hughes is backing his players to make a quick response after their hammering at York City.
The Cumbrians lost 5-0 at the LNER Stadium to end a run of four consecutive victories in their heaviest league defeat for 11 years.
Three down at the break, Carlisle shipped two more in the second half as they slipped to third in the National League table, four points behind leaders Forest Green Rovers.
"We've been very good up to this point in my view - today we certainly weren't - but the key for us is that we've got to bounce back very quickly," Hughes told BBC Radio Cumbria.
"We're up against another good team but we'll be ready to go."
Carlisle face four of the top eight in their next four games, starting at home to second-placed Rochdale on Saturday, who have won all but one of their nine games this season.
But Hughes hopes the loss at York proves to be nothing more than a blip as they chase promotion back to League Two at the first time of asking.
"Now and again these results and performances pop up and you think, 'Goodness me, where did that come from?" said the former Wales manager.
"That's how I'm going to view it. It's not what we're about, it's not what we've shown we're going to be this year.
"We just have to bounce back quickly."
