York City have parted company with manager Adam Hinshelwood with immediate effect.
The 41-year-old joined the Minstermen in February 2024 having previously managed Worthing.
He guided the club to safety later that season and then to second place last season, missing out on automatic promotion to League Two by six points.
Hinshelwood departs the club despite York's unbeaten record in the National League this season, with three draws and one victory from their four games.
His final game in charge was Monday's 1-1 draw at Woking.
First team coach Cam Morrison will also leave the club, while assistant boss Gary Elphick will take over on a temporary basis, with a new manager to be announced in due course.
"We would like to thank Adam for everything he has done for the club since his arrival early last year," co-chairs Matt and Julie-Anne Uggla said., external
"We wish him nothing but the very best for the future. We look forward to announcing the new manager in due course for this next chapter for the club."
Hinshelwood, the father of Brighton midfielder Jack, was in charge at Worthing from 2017 to 2024 and guided them to promotion to National League South in 2022-23.
He replaced Neal Ardley as manager at York, who was sacked after a run of four games without a win and just a point above the bottom four.
