Stevenage have signed striker Brandon Hanlan on loan from League One rivals Wycombe Wanderers for the rest of the season.

The 27-year-old has scored twice in 13 appearances this season for the Chairboys after a year's absence because of a knee injury.

He joins a Stevenage side that are 15th in the table, but who won their past two games, including a 3-2 victory at promotion-chasing Wrexham.

He is Boro's first signing of the January transfer window, having previously played for Charlton Athletic, Gillingham and Bristol Rovers.

"This is a brilliant opportunity for Brandon to play regular football in League One and help him get back to his best following his lengthy absence," said Wycombe's chief football officer Dan Rice.

"Our options in attack mean that his game time here has been limited but we're excited to see what he can do at Stevenage and wish him every success during his loan."

Stevenage are at home to Exeter City on Saturday.
