The Swansea City futures of Jerry Yates and Josh Ginnelly are in doubt after the two forwards were left out of the club's pre-season training camp.

Swansea flew out to Spain on Monday as they continue preparations for the new Championship season.

But striker Yates and winger Ginnelly were not in the travelling party, while Eom Ji-Sung has also been left in Wales after picking up an ankle injury in Saturday's friendly win over Kidderminster Harriers.

Swansea signed Yates in a deal worth about £3m in 2023, but he spent last season on loan at Derby County.

The 28-year-old scored 10 goals for Derby, where he was a regular starter, having netted nine times in 46 appearances in his solitary campaign at Swansea.

Ginnelly, also 28, made a promising start to life at Swansea after joining from Hearts in 2023.

However, he has managed just 12 appearances - including only two league starts - for the club having suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon in the autumn of 2023.

Swansea, meanwhile, are hoping Eom will soon be back in action, with the South Korea international's problem being assessed this week.
