Preston North End striker Will Keane has extended his contract at Deepdale until 2026.

The 31-year-old, who was Preston's top scorer last season with 14 goals, was out of contract next summer but has added another year at the Championship club.

Republic of Ireland international Keane joined from Wigan Athletic in July 2023 and played 41 games in his first campaign with The Lilywhites.

“I’m really pleased to extend my stay and hopefully I can just crack on and keep contributing to the team," Keane told the club website, external.

“I’ve really enjoyed my time here and was really keen to extend that and keep progressing."
