Preston release midfielder Ledson

Ryan Ledson made 32 appearances in all competitions for Preston this season

Preston North End midfielder Ryan Ledson is to leave the club when his contract expires at the end of June.

The 27-year-old joined the Championship side from Oxford in May 2018 and scored seven goals in 215 games.

His final appearance for North End came in Saturday's 2-2 draw at Bristol City to help them avoid relegation to League One.

"I've had the best seven years that I could have asked for. This club means so much to me," he told the club website.

"I'm glad my last game for the club went as well as it did and I could have that moment with the fans at the end."
