Everton are still hoping to secure new signings after an impressive start to the season with two wins from three games, highlighted by the form of summer arrivals Jack Grealish and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.
David Moyes has been searching for a right-back all summer after losing out on a deal for Fulham's Kenny Tete but first off the block looks to be Freiburg midfielder Merlin Rohl, who they hope to sign in a £20m deal today.
Everton are then likely to push for a defender but it remains to be seen if they can get it done in time.
