Sheff Utd bring in free agent Riedewald

Jairo Riedewald made 24 appearances in the Belgian top flight for Antwerp last season

Sheffield United have signed former Crystal Palace midfielder Jairo Riedewald on a deal until January.

The 29-year-old Netherlands international spent seven years with the Eagles before joining Belgian side Antwerp in August last year.

Riedewald is Chris Wilder's first signing since returning to the club for a third stint as manager last month.

The Blades, who are bottom of the Championship after eight defeats in their first nine games, host Watford on Saturday.
