Fleetwood sign Man Utd defender Bennett on loan

Rhys Bennett appeared for Manchester United on their pre-season tour to the USA

Fleetwood Town have signed Manchester United defender Rhys Bennett on a season-long loan deal.

The 20-year-old is yet to make his competitive debut for the Red Devils but did feature for them in pre-season.

He had a loan spell in League Two with Stockport last season, featuring once in a 4-0 defeat at Tranmere.

Bennett could make his debut for Charlie Adam's side at AFC Wimbledon on Saturday.
