Carlisle sign ex-Morecambe midfielder Macadam

Harvey Macadam scored twice in 36 appearances in all competitions for Morecambe

Carlisle United have signed former Morecambe midfielder Harvey Macadam on a one-year deal after a successful trial.

The 24-year-old spent last season with the Shrimps and made 29 appearances in League Two.

He could make his competitive debut for the Blues in Saturday's National League opener against Woking.

"He is a good character and size - fitting the profile. He will only get better with games," head of recruitment Martin Foyle told the club website.
