Rotherham forward Kayode signs new one-year deal

Rotherham United forward Joshua Kayode has signed a one-year contract extension with the League One club.

The 25-year-old's new deal contains the option of a further year that would keep him at the club until 2027.

Kayode spent the first part of last season on loan at Shrewsbury Town before returning to his parent club and making 12 appearances.

"JJ has all the attributes to be a really important player for us," Rotherham manager Matt Hamshaw told the club website., external

"He's got the athleticism and the natural ability to have a big impact in League One and it's now up to myself and the coaching staff to help him to re-discover that."

Rotherham begin the new League One campaign at home to newly-promoted Port Vale on Saturday, 2 August.
