Striker Aramide Oteh's 49th-minute goal gave The New Saints the first siliverware of the Welsh men's domestic season in Newtown.

Oteh struck from close range to break the deadlock and Aberystwyth Town could not find an equaliser.

It means TNS remain on course for a 2024-25 treble as they continued their Nathaniel MG Cup reign.

TNS have now won the cup 11 times and beat Swansea City 2-1 in last season's final.

It was Aberyswyth's first final in the competition, an appearance likely to be of little consolation as they sit bottom of the Cymru Premier with relegation a distinct possibility while TNS are again challenging for the title.
